MOME

MOME (Cluster of European Projects aimed at Monitoring and Measurement) is a coordination action in the Information Society Technologies (IST) Programme of the European Union that offers a platform for knowledge and tool exchange, and for coordinating activities in the field of IP monitoring and measurement between IST projects and other European partners. The platform will provide information on tested interoperability of monitoring and measurement tools of different projects. It will then build a database containing tools information and measurement data in a common format.

For more information, please visit the MOME website at:

The MOME project has created an exchange platform for experts in monitoring and measurements. Interested persons can subscribe to the MOME Public mailing-list. The subscription will be approved by the list owner. Once subscribed you will be able to post to this list.

We hope that this will be used for exchange of ideas and opinions about various monitoring and measurements related issues.

The MOME project invites you to participate to the Monitoring and Measurement Interoperability Testing event.

Event Location and Date:

The event will be co-located with the 63rd IETF meeting at

Le Palais des Congrès De Paris (2, Place de la Porte Maillot,

75017 Paris Cedex 17 France).

The event will take place from July the 28th to July the 30th 2005

from 9:00 to 18:00 in the room 332M/333M.

Event Scope:

Monitoring and measurements of Internet traffic often involve not just a single application, but a combination of different tools that process measured information at different levels.

In order to exchange information between these tools, common information models, data models, file formats, and protocols are required. The interoperability of measurement and monitoring tools depends largely on the level of standardisation and its accurate implementation within tools and libraries from different vendors.

This event focuses on the Monitoring and Measurement related tools and similar technologies. If you have done or are doing an implementation of one of the protocols below (or a related one in the MOME area) and would like to test it, then the Interop event organised by MOME is your chance to test it back to back with other companies who did the same.

The detailed event description and programme can be found at:

http://www.ist-mome.org/events/interop/

Targeted Protocols are:

    * IPFIX

    * OWAMP

    * PSAMP

    * NSIS

    * NETFLOW(v9)

    * NETCONF

If you need to test other protocols or features, or like to provide tests, please contact us at:

interop@ist-mome.org

The event is free but due to seats limitation we recommend you to register.

The registration form can be found at:

http://www.terena.nl/events/?eventID=152

Looking forward to see you in Paris.
