Belgacom is starting to investigate the possibility to offer TV over telephone line. Plans have been existing for a wile, but get more specific now. The DSL-network of Belgacom requires improvement, not only for typical internet traffic, but also to provide digital TV into the Belgian home. From November onwards, the telecom operator starts trials on iDTV with about 1000 families in Brussels, Gent and Liege. Commercial operation will follow shortly.
